Yes we are happy chappies once more. Left Barcelona and our not so fantastic campsite this morning. We will miss the noise of the planes but we still had a couple of hours of it this morning so will not feel left out at all.
Prepared Charlie once again for hitting the road. This takes about 10 minutes and she never complains at all. At last we were on our way to Cambrils. The only reason we are staying here is that it is the closest to Tarragona which is on our itenary. The park is situated about 12km from the city of Tarragona and it was a lovely surprise to arrive at the park. The sites are great, the utilities very good and it is right on the beach. Cambrils is a town with about 40,000 inhabitants. It is very much a coastal town and has the most fantastic boulevard right along the ocean front. Of course with that comes the inevitable restaurants and eateries as well. All done with great taste and plenty of room for people to walk around. We knew nothing about the place before we got here and are pleasantly surprised with it all. We will probably stay here for 3 or so nights as we feel very comfortable here. Have decided to forget about Valencia and will make Madrid our next big city pit stop ( perhaps ). Rick and I went fro a nice walk along the boulevard this afternoon, lovely just to stroll along. Still plenty of people about because it is a coastal town after all. Came across a boat display as well. We learned that boats are rather cheap here compared to Oz. Tempting to buy one but it would be too expensive to come back here every year to use it. Of course we had to stop and use one of the many side walk restaurant just to have a drink. Rick had the coldest beer for a long time he said. So here we are now, it is nearly 7.30pm, we have had our dinner ( Yes I cooked again ) and are sitting outside enjoying the warmth. All is good , and to top it all Mark Webber won the Monaco Grand Prix. Life does not get better than this. I'll show you a few images of Cambrils. Probably within the next few days we will catch a train and visit the city of Tarragona which should also be good.
A lovely day today, sunny and warm again as well
