Today was to be a day of rest with nothing to do or worry about. It started with a leisurely breakfast of fresh bread rolls of the german kind as we do every morning. Will miss that when we get home for sure. This was followed by " now we do nothing" said with a german accent so imagine what it sounded like, " but first you must do some housework" more orders. Rick did the vacuum cleaning, gardening and general tidying up while I did the washing follwed by the ironing. All during this time our hosts relaxed on the couch and watched us work. This hotel has lost its star rating as far as we are concerned. Only kidding of course although the photos might tell you otherwise. We realy all did something so were finished early. Frank decided to make a traditional old Hamburger lunch dating back to the old days when people made a meal out of left over foods. It consisted of beetroot, potatoes, onions, gherkins and anything else you might like to add. the end result looks awful but the taste is fantastic. It smelled pretty good too.
Reading and coffee for the afternoon and we have just had some Danish pastries for tea. Now the men are watching soccer as all good men do here on a Saturday evening.
A good relaxing day.
Tomorrow depends on the weather but it will be the markets first thing, have to get up early for that.

Sam is horrified and all her friends now want to add me to facebook!!! Ahhh don't you just love embarrassing your kids. xoxo
