A nice sunny start to the day today and it looks like the whole day will be like it. First thing find a Macca's to do yesterday's blog and now here we are back again to do todays blog. Visited the Arundel Castle this morning, actually it took us nearly 4 hours to go through it all and was well worth the visit. The time seemed to go so fast while we were there and probably could have spent another hour there. Built at the end of the 11th century,it has been the family home of the Dukes of Norfolk and their Ancestors for nearly 1000 years. The original castle was founded on Christmas Day by Roger de Montgomery, Earl of Arundel, one of William the Conqueror's most loyal barons. It is also one of thelongest inhabited country houses in England. The present 18th Duke of Norfolk still lives there to day and this is evident when you visit the castle. Saw lots of paintings painted by the likes of Van Dyke.Sadly we were not allowed to take photographs inside but managed to sneak in one or two.  Many regal occasions are still held there today. It is well worth a visit on the internet , very interesting morning. Also walked through the gardens which are a treat to see. The best vegetable garden we have seen for a long time, you can almost taste the vegies as they look so lush and fresh.
Getting a little hungry by now , instead of having a sandwich in Charlie we drove to a pub called  The Black Rabbit and had a lovely lunch, needed it after all that culture we had this morning.

Graham we saw and photographed lots of chimney pots, shoe scraper and note the photo of the castle was taken from the air, not easy without flying. We figured today,s effort was well worth a lot of points so come on and stop being so mean with your points allocation and award us as least 10000. Rick said so.

I am going to be very miserly with awarding points as otherwise you will get your target of 20000 before you have left these shores. I would have given the aerial shot of the castle 200 points but I am not convinced it was taken by either of you so 'Nil Points'!
