Woke up to amother sunny day, hope it lasts a little longer. Laundry first thing this morning and some  food shopping after that. Asda supermarket this time another biggie. No Coles or Woolworths here thank goodness and a lot more competition as well. Jamie picked us up at the caravan park and drove us to a little place in the Wye valley where we had lunch. They are supposed to serve a good steak there and boy they sure lived up to their reputation. Served on hot platters and very tasty.Very enjoyable indeed. The Wye valley is such a picturesque area with the river Wye meandering through it. All lush and green and very soft looking.Easy on the eye .
Jamie drove us to the Tintern Abbey , or what is left of it and the  Roman ruins.Great to view and interesting to learn about. Marvellous how all this is preserved and all built on such a grand scale.  Some more tripping through the most gorgeous countryside, next stop the Caerleon Amphitheatre which dates back to 400 AD. . Gladiators fought to the death there. You can imagine what it was like when you stand there .The town was a Garrison town .
Than back to Jamie and Natalie's home for a coffee and some cheese and biscuits which we bought at the biggest supermarket I have ever seen. It went on forever . Spend a few hours with the family Allen and too soon it was time to say goodbye again. Rick and I had a lovely few days here with them and it was a little sad to say bye to them again. Thanks for a very special time and showing us so much of your area, it has been so very enjoyable for us and we will see you again next year. You have come a long way from the akward school kid I used to take to the school bus .
Yes another good day, Wales is a lovely country and it didn't rain at all.
On the road again tomorrow.
