It is going to be warm today or so they say. Woke up this morning but it did not feel very warm first thing but to be fair it was still very early. Rick and I had a quiet cup of tea , checked our emails and waited for the sun to show.It did come our after breakfast and it turned out to be a beautiful sunny and warm day. Today we had arranged to meet one of Rick's half sisters Julie and her husband Jeff.We were invited for lunch along with Carol and Graham. Julie and Jeff live in St Albans which is a lovely town. It is also one of the oldest towns in England and has a lot of Roman history.
Rick had never met Julie due to family circumstances so their meeting was rather emotional and special for them both. Julie and Jeff made us feel very welcome and we soon fitted in and were part of it all. We had a lovely lunch, good food , good wine and good company. A good day was held by all and we have arranged to meet again before we head home. Looking forward .
Tomorrow we will be visiting Southend .

Okay kids about the glass of wine, no I did not get a double serve it was served to me like that. we all looked at it and laughed about the volume in the glass. Drank it all though.

When Rick and Graham were little kids they used to fight over who would lick the bowl when their Mum made a cake. This tradition was renewed yesterday. Rick won the fight for the cake mix and Graham won the fight for the icing mix. Some things never change.
