We so much has been happening on our road trip!!!! The last part of the trip I think we were headed to Dallas. It was an interesting town. We saw where JFK was assassinated, stood on the grassy knoll and even went into the Book Deposity museum where the gunman shot him from. It really was fascinating how it all happened and the events that occured in the afermath.
From Dallas, Texas we headed to Houston where we  visited the Johnston Space Centre (NASA). Wow!! We went on a tour of NASA and got to see the actual Mission Control where they ran all of the Apollo space missions during the 60's and 70's. We also had the chance to see the Saturn 5 rocket. It was huge!!! Those astronauts are really special people!!
After a big day at NASA we headed to our next destination, San Antonio (still in Texas). It was just a quick overnight stay so we didn't get to explore the town. We left early the mext morning and after a n 8 hour drive we reached El Paso, still in Texas but just near the border. Again, we were so tired we didn't see much of the town.
We finally crossed the border into ARizona, the desert state, cactus as far as the eye could see!!! It was like it was out of a movie. We visited the Air and Space museum and toured the military plane boneyard, where they take all of the military planes that they are not using. There were over 4400 planes lined up, it was a n amazing sight. We then headed to Tombstone to see the OK Corral. It was just a small western street that they hadn't paved to keep it as authentic as possible. There were people dressed up in the street and the saloon as if they were from an old western movie. From Tombstone we headed to Tucson to sleep for the night.
The next morning we headed to Biosphere 2 (a place where they kept 7 people inside for 2 years as a science experient). It was really interesting to see how they run the different areas and what they are doing with it now.
We headed to Phoenix for a night before reaching Sedona, one of our favourite places. As you would have read in the previous entry, this is where we got engaged!!! Yay!!! The town is just soooo unique and beautiful!! We made friends with an awesome couple and ended up spending the afternoon chatting with them in the pool and then headed out for dinner with them!! They were fantasic company!!
We left Sedona this morning and headed to the Grand Canyon which really does have to be seen to be believed!!! It is just a breathtaking sight! We have stopped tonight in a small town on the highway just on the border of Arizona and California. We are leaving LA on Friday and heading to Honolulu for the final leg of our amazing holiday.
Can't wait to see you all very very very soon!!!!
Love,
Court and Rick
