Where I stayed
Hi guys,
Well we left New York on Thursday morning and headed to Washington DC. We hired a car and drove through New Jersey, Maryland and Delaware to get to the Nation's capital. As we only had a day and a half to do our exploring we packed every minute. We saw Capital Hill (where Barak was sworn in), the White house from both the front and back, the Einstein Monument, the Lincon Memorial, war memorial, reflection pool (the one from Forest Gump), WW2 monument, Washington monument, the Smithsonian museums including the American History Museum, Air and Space Museum, we walked around the FBI building, the SPY museum giftshop, and some souveniour shops. We didn't stop!!!!!!! Sore and blistered feet but it was totally worth it, the buildings are just amazing!!! On our adventures we saw police had blocked off a road just near the White House so we went ane stood on the corner of the road and President Barak Obama actually drove right past us in his motorcade!!! Absolutely Awesome!!!!!!
Well we are off today to Norfolk, Virginia today ready for our cruise that leaves tomorrow!!! Yay!!!!
Will update you all again soon.
Missing you all, but only 4-5 more weeks before we see your lovely faces!!

Busy, Busy Busy
Hey, do you ever stop to take a breath! Sounds like it's go go go. I expect to hear an American drawl when you return. Like the ruby shoes Court 'there's no place like home!!' I am sure you are looking forward to your cruise so you can rest up a bit. Hope the weather is kind to you, watch out for that swine flu - luv Mum and Geoff (left Broome on our way to Darwin!)
