The last few days have been amazing! Decided to take the popular 4x4 tour across the border from San Pedro to Uyuni with the tour company Cordillera Travel (a bit more expensive than some others but they werent bad and the covered the Border tax and Park Entry fees) and met some great people who were also on the tour.

Even crossing the border was great, got some great views of Licancabur Volcano and then it was off into the National Park of Bolivia. There are loads of lagoons here, started of with some amazing reflections at Laguna Blanca and the awesome green coloration (so green it was practically turquoise!) at Laguna Verde. We spent the night at a refugio near to Laguna Colorada, which has loads of flamingo (which you have to take hundreds of photos of obviously lol) and is a great shade of pink due to the number of shrimp (or something!!!).

The following day we headed further into Bolivia and saw more flamingo at Laguna Honda as well as the weird rock formation at Arbor del Piedra (a bizzarre volcanic stone in the middle of the desert- cue many team Cordillera photos!!!). And then it was onto Uyuni!

After a brief stop at the Train Graveyard for more photos lol it was on to the much visited Salar de Uyuni. Anyone who has been there can attest to how amazing it is, very white flat and salty (mmmmm salty!) Due to recent rains, we had some amazing reflections on the surface and then onto the Salt Hotel for even more photos and fun with the perspective!!!

All in all a great experience and Team Cordillera returned home tired but happy lol. Now to explore the rest of Bolivia!

Take care

*hugs*
