Today was (another) very early start and because of the late night last night I was feeling a little sleep deprived. Kompong Cham is a small town on the Mekong River, which is the main river that runs through Cambodia. The group spent the afternoon cycling. We took a boat across to this island in the middle of the river and it wasnt long until we were at a local temple. Here we taught some local children about 7 years old some basic English which included the song "heads, shoulders, Knees...". It was good fun but I think they would have learnt more if we would have had time to prepare and a little longer with the kids. We were meant to go to another place to teach some more kids but as we were just about to leave the heavens opened. By the time it stopped raining we had missed the class, I hope they didnt mind.
Kompong Cham is a nice little town but there is is'nt much there for tourists to do but it was good to go off the tourist trail and get exposure to local Cambodian life.
