Hi there and Thank you for reading the last part of "Richie" travelpod for New Zealand!!

Well after a great night of home cooking and being back in a family house night and a double bed to your self and no one walking you up packing there back packs, its was time to say good bye to Vicky and Andrew DePree. I have to say, it was great for a night to get out of the backpacker thing and get back into a home!  Well i got back on the bus and headed to Taupo to meet Ian there, we spent one ninth back in taupo, looking over the lake and walking around before heading back to Auckland.  Here we spent one night in a great hostel at the upper side of Queens street.  Next day we headed off on a mission to get a hire car for 4 days, which in fact was quite easy. We got a Nissan sunny auto, man this car was what made all my dreams come true.  The car to be fair was OK it went back and forth and didn't break down.  The hire car company were like "Don't take it on the beech or gravel roads!" so what was the first thing we did drove it on the beech and up a 40kw gravel track.  On the beech was great because if you got it wrong or went too slow the car could sink and we would loose the car but we just did hand break turns and J turns. i hope to get these up on the website soon. The north of Auckland is a great place with amazing views, after a long drive we stopped at a place called Kaitaia, this was just a stop over and we headed off the next morning for the beech, sand boarding and the light house.  All of these places were great as you will be able to see i the photo's, but out of all the stuff i have done in NZ racing the hire car around the beech and Sand boarding was one of the greatest things i had done for a while. While we were up in the bay of islands the weather was great so no complaints.  We meet some girls from Holland on the first night and bumped into them again in Paihia which was a nice place to stay. i just did some walking and chilling out with a book. We headed on back down the coast with our last stop at Whangarei for a couple of nights, where i did my washing, great and went see another water fall. I have to say you do get bored of seeing the same stuff over and over again but in different places.  We headed back to auckland and gave the hire car back, that evening i went to visit a friend of mum and dad's called Deborah Gibson.  I was lucky enough to get picked up taken to there great home, feed, watered, laughed and joke and was given a lift home. How good was that! It was great to meet up if deb, Anna, James and Andy. I have to say I'm looking forward to moving on to Bali and get away from the Western way of things for a while. Well i hope all is well with you all this is it for New Zealand, Thanks for having me.
