Where I stayed
We jumped on the local bus which took us along the coast. A 20km journey took aound an hour because the roads are so windy along the coast so we didnt go very fast. As soon as we got to Butrint there was tons of school children there as part of a trip which were really annoying and they were all there playing there music on there phones and making a general racquet as kids do so it was really hard to get peace and ambuiance in the place but we quickly made our way past the majority of them to a quieter spot
After we came out we decided to walk to Kasimi which is a village not to far away so we walked around 45 mins to get to the village where they have a small beach with 4 islands just off them where you can swim out to. All the school kids were there as well so it was a bit crowded but we managed to swim out to the islands which were pretty beatiful and lovely coulour turqouis water. The water was not that warm but after you started to swim it was not to bad. After doing some swimming we decided to walk back to Saranda which took around 3 hours or so but was really nice along the coast. I felt pretty stiff after having a good walk and it was nice to get some excerises along with the swimming. I am looking forward to getting back in the gym and showing matt and gary how to play football when I am back in the UK.
I managed to grab some veg and potatos to cook in the backpackers, it only cost around 2 pounds to buy all the ingrediants so its really cheap here. Saranda is reving up to become a real tourist hotspot in the future and it wont be long before this place is over running with tourists so its nice to come here before it gets to busy.
Tommorow I am off to Corfu which is only 12km away on the boat. I am really looking forward to going as this area is so beatiful. So until tommorow I will update you from Greece adios!
