Where I stayed
Bus journey from Jaisalmer was pretty cramped again - we had two seats reserved but ended up with an Indian lady sharing my seat for the last hour. They cram as many people as they can on the bus - standing or sitting in the aisle, four or more to a sleeping compartment and even on the roof!
Not a huge amount to say about Jodhpur really - more temples, a huge fort and probably the most impressive the huge Umaid Bhawan palace (half of which is a luxury hotel and the other half a museum plus residence of the current maharaja).
We are getting better at haggling for hotels - got a decent room with much needed AC for 600 rs.
The flies are really cheesing us off. As soon as there is any food in sight the flies arrive and it's a constant battle to keep them off. The humidity is taxing too - do anything more than breath and I'm sweating!
We are alterating Indian food with continental to try to give our stomach a fighting chance. Not had any major problems (yet!) but this seems to help.
Booked overnight train tickets to get to Delhi.
