After an uneventful circular trip to Puerto Limon, where I did see the man from Del Monte say "Yes" to a large boat load of questionable bananas, I spent my last night in the South  East coast in Cahuita. East a super spicy Caribbean meal at Madam Edith´s, recommend by Lonely Planet as the best local eats. It certainly was good, although didn't see Madam Edith, there was lots of talk about her in hushed tones and the kitchen curtain did bustle occasionally...I imagine Madam Edith to be a caribbean lady of mature years with a big booty..maybe shes a skinny street lass from Essex, that would rather ruin it all...ye,but no but, you ordered the Jerk Chikin in'it!... hence the mystery! Anyway she can cook like the former, so who cares!

Set off bright and sparky for Moin, after negotiating the scenic boat trip to Tortuguero at Willy´s tours. Willy is a real character, a highly strung German with some extreme views, including a no hassle body out the window guaruntee if you mess with his computers! I think you are allowed to type very slowly at the keyboard as long as you don´t put any pressure on ze keys! But his trips are good value and he is straight talking, even if some of his views aren´t well suited to living on the caribbean coast! Willy does have the accolade of having the best Skype line quality ever and even a private back room for making calls...no idea why every other Internet Cafe and Hostel believes that you prefer to shout over the blasting music using a pair of ear muffs and a straw mascarading as a headset...Anyway most places offer a very bad set of tin cans and string arrangement called International Call Cabins, that charge you 10x the price for a much worse service where, for no extra charge, you get to group call with people from several other countries in a variety if languages. Willy´s Tours...Pura Vida!

The boat to Tortuguero was a recommendation from a fellow traveller, and was fantasic, Captain William and first mate, er Thingy, gave a great tour, we saw 2 and 3-towed balls of fluff that were apparently sleeping sloths, I think the 3 towed one has the bandit style face mask and the other one looks like it´s head is stuck on upside down, or maybe it was just upside down!?! We saw some tiny bats stuck to a tree in a line, the photo shows how they look like someone has played target practice and splatted them, but apparently that´s how they look! The highlight for me had to be the 2m crocodile...we got really close as it was trapped in shallow water, I let Thingy distract it while took some great photos. Lots of brighlty coloured birds I have yet to identify, but apparently there are tens if not hundreds of thousands of species in Costa Rica of birds alone...so maybe I will stick with describing them by size and colour.
