Back to Annapolis for a rounding off of our 10 days with Sarah and Derek. We've had a ball with the Roberston Trio, and none more then with Max 'Delicious' Robertson, who promised to write and call to me regularly. I'm hoping he'll come out to visit us in Vietnam or Laos, even though he's only 2.
We managed to catch the Annapolis Memorial Day Parade, which was a bit of a laugh. Groups passing by included the 'PT Cruiser Owners Social Club' (consisting of 8-10 PT Cruisers rolling by at their customary 5 mph) and the entire complement of local fire engines. One of them made me laugh with 'Learn not to burn' printed on the side. That's a lesson I must have missed in school....
As a final day treat, Sarah arranged for Sinead and I to be brought out on a friends boat for a tour around hte Chesapeake Bay on Friday. The weather was magnificent, the boat beautiful, and Skipper John and First Mate Ro were fantastic hosts. Nothing can beat a beer or three while sailing around on a sunny day having a laugh with good people. Sinead took her turn at the helm and was pronounced a natural. I had to make do with hoisting halyards and swabbing the decks....and drinking.
