The Argentine side of Iguazu really has a lot to offer.  Unlike the half-day in Brazil, this was a full day with no time until the end to eat.  We were lucky to have the same guide, Jose Luis, for our tour and he's here showing us the route we're going to take today.

Before heading to the falls, we stopped at the point in the river where Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay all meet:

This sign shows you the size of the different waterfalls around the world:

The great thing about the Argentine side of Iguazu is that there are trails and catwalks that take you along the edge of and over the river and falls.  The river has flooded several times and there are remnants of previous catwalks still standing.  One has to wonder how long the current catwalk will remain.

As with Brazil, words can't express the beauty and wonder of the falls, so I'll just add the pictures here:

We signed up for an excursion called the Gran Aventura.  In it, they take you on a large military vehicle through the forest down to the river.  Once at the river, you get a waterproof bag to put your camera, etc into, and life preserver.  Then you hop into a boat to go up river to the base of the falls.

This was an absolutely great adventure, hence the name, but because you will be getting very wet very shortly theres only a limited time to take pictures:

There was a guy on the boat taking a video of the trip and we bought the video because, again, words just can't describe it.  I've cut down the video so you can see what it's like.  At no time were we worried or concerned for our safety, the only reason we're covering our faces is that we are literally in the falls and they have some massive power behind them.  It was so much fun, in fact, that we kept telling the captain, UNA MAS!, meaning one more time...and he did!

After the ride we climbed back up to meet the rest of the group.  What a fantastic day.

That's a wall of water behind Doyle:

Here are some of the creatures we saw.
