Whilst we were in Hong Kong we decided to take a TurboJet ferry across the water to main land China and visit Macau aka mini Las Vegas!

It was quite stressful as we had to go through customs 4 times within about 14 hours! We arrived early and we were expecting it to be a bit mad like Hong Kong with lots of people and everything being open. We were surprised that it was a Saturday and most things were not open and there was hardly anyone about.

We took a stroll through the centre and visited Macau square and had pizza. We then took a stroll to the Macau tower which was just massive! It was mad to see people throwing themselves off a 700+ ft building (3 times the size of the transporter bridge! :) It cost over 200 quid to bungee jump!

There was also a food festival by the tower which we went to and ate crocodile - it was great!

As the day went on Macau seemed to come to life, the casinos looked great with they're big advertisements and flashing lights! We went into the Casino Lisboa and played some Roulette and walked out with $200 which wasnt bad - we were happy with that anyway on our traveller budget!

All in all was a good day out!
