We drove to Lovina which was a spectacular ride through the mountains.  We stopped at Git Git waterfall on the way which was also really cool.  Early evening, we arrived in Lovina and were absolutely flabbergasted with how nice our hotel was for the cheap price.  We hung out for a bit then met for dinner where the Bintangs started flowing.  As the evening progressed we decided we should continue this party into the night although we had to be up at 6 am to board our boats to see the dolphins.  We got a multi-seated golf cart to drive the five of us who wanted to continue to party to the bar.  When we arrived at the tourist bar there was no one there so we told the driver we wanted to see more people.  He took us to a local bar for tourists from Indonesia.  We walked in and were the only 5 bules in the joint.  We looked at each other and though “awesome”.  We sat down at a table beside a bunch of gangsters.  I asked the one if it was okay that we were in there.  He laughed and said absolutely. He then proceeded to pour me shot after shot.  Trev and I decided we needed to get a bottle for the kids.  So we ordered a bottle of tequila and orange juice.  I poured the gangsters a bunch of shots and our parties instantly joined.  We danced and partied till about 330 am at the bar.  We made a collective team decision we should stay up throughout the night.  Keith passed out for a couple hours so did Cory, I crashed with 45 minutes to the boat, but Linda and Trev pushed through the night like animals.  They woke us up and we headed to the boats.

We had two boats between us and the one I was on had a long bow so I asked our guide if I could lay on there.  Honestly the most comfortable spot in the league.  While we were driving out a dolphin jumped twice about 20 feet from our boat so I thought this was what was to come.  We got out to a place where there were 50ish boats and when a dolphin would appear it was like hounds on a piece of meat… so I went to sleep.  The other boat decided they were going to mess with everyone out there and kept making loud awe sounds and pointing where there were no dolphins and the boats fell for it like dogs when you still have the toy behind your back.  Haha… classic.  I was having a nice nap on the way in and the other jokers got there guy to pull in front of us and use the longtail to dust me with water.  It was a rude awakening, but really funny.  I went back and went back and slept until about noon.  When I woke up and went to the pool Wilke was behind the bar as DJ and Keith and Trevor had not slept.  The next few hours packed in a year’s worth of laughter.  They made a pride bet that they could not sleep unless they could catch a chicken and sleep with it, but as soon as the chicken left they had to wake up.  So they were running around trying to catch chickens.  From synchronized dances on the pool edge, to diving competitions to synchronized diving, these two guys had my guts hurting from laughing.  Curtis and I sat there and egged them on with all our might.  I switched up and DJ’d for the last few hours.  What a day… but it ended with bedtime at about 5pm haha.

We woke up the next day, had breakfast and headed to Mt Batur to climb the volcano.  After that we would stay on the East coast at Candidasa.
