Lemony Snicket-ed! Let's see...we did make it back to Newark from Time Square on time to catch our flight to Dublin. We slept part of the way, especially when the movie came on. when we fleww over Ireland's coast the sun was just coming up over the horizan in a beautiful pink bloom. We landed in Dublin and managed to find the right bus to get us to the "general" area of our hostel. We wound up whizzing right past it and continuing on for 6 more blocks before we got off and bundled and dragged ourselves and stuff back to Citi Hostel. This is where we encountered our second in a series of convoluted corridor and stair combination. It was bizarre! Our room had bunk beds (just 2) and an en-suite...private bathroom. After all the trudging and jet lag we slept the whole first day. We ate at a kabob place next door for supper and began to recognize the rampant alcohol use over here. Yes, I know it perpetuates the stereotype, but it was sad to see kids winking at people to excuse their drunken father's potential behavior even before anything happened.

Next morning my radar kicked in and I found the nearest Starbucks ;-) Yes...I have a serious caffiene problem. Knowing it is half the battle, right?

next day we walked so much I thought my feet would explode! and the remnants fall off. Christchurch was amazing! Wish I could find USB access to show you. Outside Dublin Castle the handle fell off of the brand knew rolling backpack Kristen had loaned us. We hoofed it all the way back down Castle Hill and missed our bus. It was freezing and windy and we had to stand outside for 1 hr to catch the bus back to the airport. We arrived just as our RyanAir flight was closing and we missed it. Here I had done all that bragging about our $.01 seats and it wound up costing us over $200. to change our flights.Off to Bristol!

We miss you all. Wish you were here...then you could help carry this @%%^**luggage ;-)
