Following our hike up to Marymere Falls, we drove a short distance to Lake Crescent Lodge, idyllically situated by the lake's shore, complete with a wooden boarded pier picturesquely jutting out into the water.

We didn't spend very long here, and our main objective was to simply take some photos to remember the natural and raw beauty of the Olympic National Park.  There were several wooden chairs strategically placed right next to the shoreline, and although we weren't guests of the lodge, couldn't resist sitting in these charming chairs to help us behold the views.  Somehow it really did seem perfect to be sitting in a chair of that fashion in a situation like that.  Absolute serenity.

We then strolled down to the lodge's wooden pier and walked right as far as the pier went into the water and this provided us with 360 degree views of the lake and its headlands.  You'll notice when you look at the water that it is actually very clear with views to the lake floor possible in the shallows.  After sitting around on the pier and taking some novelty shots we were promptly back to our vehicle to continue on to Forks and other areas of the Olympic National Park.

Lessons Learned
1.  If you're looking for a place to stay in the Olympic National Park, Lake Crescent Lodge would be an ideal choice especially if you like views.
2.  Lake Crescent is also home to many scenic trails suitable for hiking and you could use this area as a base for your trips.

Experience Ratings
1.  No purchases or experiences involving payment occurred in our trip to Lake Crescent so I will refrain from any scoring.
