Hey all,
Today we went to Altun Ha, which is the most popular Mayan Temple of the five sites around the Carribbean.  We found out that ruins are replicas but we were at the originals that were built starting about 3600 years ago.  Pastor Jim had a problem at first bringing mission groups there becuase of all the pagan worship that took place there.  But he shared an awesome point with us that another missionary shared with him some time ago.  Just like Paul referred to the "Temple of the Unknown God" in the book of Acts, he then used it to talk about the One True God.  The missionary told Pastor Jim and he shared it with us, though the Mayan's worshipped all sort of false gods (demons), the temples now are just rocks because we know that true worship can only be given the One True God, the God of Scripture.

After that we went to the Zip line and zipped through the rain forrest.  Bette, Bob, and Carolyn opted out of zipping, not for fear but because of the price (so they say).  It was awesome.  Tyler thought otherwise.  Several times as he was zipping toward the platforms, it looked like he was going to mess his pants.  However, by the end even Tyler was a real pro.  It was literally misting in the rain forrest.  It was almost surreal.

I know the team wants to blog tonight, but Jenny just rang the "come and get it" chow bell.

Megan, I love you and miss you so much.  I wish you and the girls could have been with us.  Emma, Madailein, Abigail, and baby that we haven't met yet...Daddy loves you and I will see you at church on Thursday morning.
