Leaving Baird Bay was a bit sad, as we knew there was a long trek ahead of us, but we were both excited to start it. We passed through the beautiful beaches of Streaky Bay and then continued on to Ceduna, where we stopped to get some more groceries for our long trip. From here, we begun our big trek west, accross the Nullabor. We didn't go too far across today, and stopped at a rest stop just west of Penong, the town of 100 windmills. I can see why they have so many windmills there, as soon as we had set up camp the wind set in and we had the windiest night so far. There were also quite a few night road trains that thundered past during the night to help keep us awake.
