Breakfast: oatmeal, sausage, muffins, fruit & eggs
Lunch: butternut squash soup & chili black bean burgers
Dinner: fruit
Today we decided to get a good morning burn in by walking down to the river. The walk was 1.7 miles of hills and valleys. We detoured for a bit at the Bird Blinds to check out our feathered friends as they chowed down on breakfast. We say a Scrub Jay, a Spotted Towhee, and tons of sparrows. They could have entertained us for hours but we had to get on down the road,
We made it down to the river as the sun was just coming up over the hillside which cast some amazing shadows on the rock formations. The photo opportunities were endless from the gushing springs flowing through the roots of trees that had fallen to the whirlpools created by boulders impeding the waters flow.
Later that night we went back down to the river, this time on bikes to get a final burn in before we retired. We watched a couple of westerns before turning in for the night.
