got here early in the morning...
and waited for zelia to wake up...
i met her at 9 and we went for a nice breakfast..indian style of course...then a walk in town
local market...with everything...fruit area...really nice...spices area...supercool..and fish area..indeed really smelly..but noticed some fish i've never seen before...including some small sharks..awsome..i wanna taste that!
nice arts park, with some installations of local artists..quite interesting.
a walk in the arabic sea :D
dinner by the beach in a nice restaurant with zelia and abelio, met through couchsurfing..
day2
rented a motorbike..definately the best way to get around...and headed to old goa, a small town in which there are several churches and monastries...dating back in the 1600..quite interesting buildings...
got also on an island nearby...where all the houses were painted in bright colors...you definately notice the portuguese influence, even if they left hundred years ago..
then also a swim in the river/sea...with zelia...

Bike!
Hi Lore, I think that you make a great choice renting a bike. What about driving licence? Is your licence accepted there in India? And how much are you paying for that bike? I'm a bit courious about prices too. You're very beautiful riding bike in slippers!
which driving licence???
you need the driving licence...but i do not thinjk they would really check if it is for car or bike...driving on the left has been tricky, but only for the roundabouts...
renting...200Rs (=4euros) per day.
of course i ride with flipflops...there are 35 degs during the day...and the gear pedal is really comfortable, not as in the western bikes...but with a pedal up and a pedal down...kinda like a sequential gear.
ciau simoooooo
