Water Water Water and Birds Birds Birds

We arrived in Foz de Iguacu in the morning at 6 am and it is really too early, because the rooms in the hostel and the breakfast were not ready. And so we had to wait two hours :(

But we got the possibility to take a shower in the public toilet there. And you can check your E-Mails 24 hours for free ;)

The name of the hostel was Hostel Paudimar and it is located in the center of the city.



It is really good to visit also Paraquai, I havn`t been there because we had no time, but I really would like to see it. The next time maybe.

So I took a shower and went to a bank near the hostel to take some money, but I forgot to take my camera with me to save the pictures on CD and so when I came back we ate breakfast. It is also very very sweet, much sweeter than in Minas Gerais.

And when I packed my bag I remembered my camera, and told the girls that it is very important for my to save my pictures at first. But I saw that they very not happy with that and so I told them that they could go and I could go alone as well. Mhmmm

So I started searching for a shop. At first I tried my luck in a very luxury hotel, but they had not a computer ??!
So I had to continue. And I found a photo shop where I could do that, Ok quite expensive, but I didn`t care about that, because I hoped the girls would be still in the hostel, but when I arrived back nobody was there.

So I calmed down and said to myself, Ok that can be very relaxing ;)
So I bought a ticket for the Bird Park which is really near to the Iguacu falls on the Brasil side. They told me it is cheaper than buying at the entrance.

The bus station was near McDonalds, It seams to be a good point for such important things like bus stops or meetings ;)It is especially for tourists perfect.

So I waited for my bus with the name parque national.

Mhmm they had different prices for different nations. Is that fair? Ok Germany ..yeah 20 Reais.

You take a bus which brings you to different points in the national park. At one you can take a boat to go very near to the waterfalls, at another one you can climb.

But I just preferred the safest way, just walking along the small way where you have a great view of the waterfalls.



And the view is incredible! WOW! But at first a small animal, called Coatí, got my whole attention :)



But the most interesting thing is the helicopter flight, which is about 150 Reais (60 Euro). It is really good, but too expensive for me. I decided not to go and to save the money for the next trip. ;)

Then you come to a elevator (lift) and there you can use the small path over the water and there you become wet for sure. So don`t forget to save the camera ;)

When I finished the park I just crossed the street at the entrance and entered the Bird Park .





I really liked it, because you could even touch the birds, but I was too afraid ;)
I mean of course it is like a Zoo and the birds are in cages, but otherwise they would escape. But the fact is that they really live in that forests.



The entrance is about 23 Reais (5 Euro).

And when I left the park I met Kari again and she did it! I mean she really took the helicopter and she was really amazed about that. She took great pictures as well!!

And by the way it was 39 degree hot at this day!


A Missed Special Atraction

And then we tried to get the bus to the
Itaipu-Dam, but we hadn`t luck and the last guided tour was finished ;(

Ok the next time. It is only optimistic thinking, I think I will never visit it again.
And this dam is a really famous thing, it is the biggest one in the world! With a power of 12,600 MW (megawatts), with 18 generator units of 700 MW each. And it provide 95% of the electric energy for Paraguay and 24% of all the demand of the Brazilian market.

It is amazing or?

But I missed it?? How could I. And what did Kari and I instead of? Of course shopping and eating what else!

And in the night we just ate a Ice and Pizza, WOW how healthy.
