Yo, yo, yo!

It's day 2 of my travels, and have only a day left in Prague...sniff. It's an amazing city, and i can't get over how cheap the beer is!

As soon as i arrived in Prague airport, i was pretty much thinking "shit, what have i done". All due to lack of planning, and realising i had nowhere to stay. But i found a hostel (complete dive) but for less than a tenner a night, you can't complain. And i'm also very close to the centre of town.

To keep it brief, Prague is amazing. Absolutely beautiful (me that is). The weather has been great, and i think i've already started to catch the sun.

I met up with Karen and Claire saturday evening, and went for dinner in this blues bar/restaurant. Food was good, the music was better. We went home early so that we could meet up at 11 on sunday to go on a tour of Prague Castle. So there's me back in the hostel at 11pm ready to go to bed...

...sunday morning, 7.30am, hangover kicks in. I'll explain. I get back to the hostel and meet an englishman, irishman and german. I end up going to a bar with them and stay out till 3am. The hangover was worth it, i paid 85 krown for three pints (approx 2 pound). I think i might of woken up four bulgarians i was sharing a room with... i don't care, didn't like the look of em.

So Sunday, has been bloody exhausting. On my feet all day and happily whinging about it to Claire and Karen (i bet they were happy to be going that night). Spent the morning with the girls on a tour of the castle, which i avoided paying for (hi-five!). Said goodbye to them in the afternoon, and just walked aimlessly around prague.

I was a bit worried when i first arrived, because i didn't see a single fit girl (not that i'm looking). But today, wow! Not sure if they were all czech, but all the same. I'm of to Krakow on monday night, taking a sleeper train. I haven't heard good stories about this train...basically people getting mugged while they're sleeping. But i'll be waiting ready to dish out the one-way tickets to smackdown city. Or i'll just spoon my hiking bag when i'm asleep.

I'm sure i've missed out a lot, but i can't be arsed to write anymore. But here are some pics for you to enjoy

U lucky barstard!
Hey Dan

Are u still having the best time ever? Cant believe u went to Prague, that is so cool, it is the coolest place ever!! The castle is so pretty properly like a fairytale and the bridge is so cool at night too, so spooky. Sounds like u got to enjoy some of the finer points of Prague also i.e the very cheap beer which is surprisingly not too bad! Not so sure about your room though, looks a bit like a prison cell!

So where are you at the mo? Where else are u going on your travels? Did you survive ur train journey? I hope you had everything padlocked to ur chest!! Beware of the vodka in Krakow, i've heard its lethal :) Are u ok travelling on ur own? It scared me shitless at first, but is a good enlightening experience and a good way to meet a lot of random and sometimes odd people! I am so jealous!!!

Right better go as i've written an essay and Eastenders is on!! Keep us posted on the rest of ur trip, so we know you havent been mugged or murdered in Smacktown!

loads of luv
