We drove twelve hours today and stopped somewhere  in the middle of  Pennslvania.  We learned from the KOA that Penn State is near by and Bellefonte has many Victorians.  Signs warn of Amish horse and buggies on roads.  According to our GPS we have 2686 miles to  go.  Nels

Amish
Gloria and I were at Mackinac Island in MI. We had seen many reenactments of old scenes that happened there replete with peroid hairdos and costumes.
As we were biking around the island, we saw a couple of people whom I thought were reenactment actors, so I yelled, 'Nice costumes!' No reply...Gloria said, 'Shh! Not costumes, Amish.' Whoops!
