We made it. Maine.  We woke up at our campsite in Vermont.  It was dry.  We had coffee and hot showers and drove into Woodstock.  This town is really charming.  Old house and covered bridges.  We walked all over town and had a great breakfast at a diner that sold "mile high pies."  They claimed their apple pie had 3.5lbs. of apples in them.  The rain started so we hit the road.  It rained constantly.  We crossed the Maine State line.  Nothing cute here.  Highway 2 is terrible.  We decided to look for a place to stay.  No camping in this weather.  No B and B's, very few motels.  I checked the GPS and “Judy” (our personal GPS guide) directed up to a great little motel on Lake Wilson.  There is a beautiful lawn going down to the lake.  Adirondack chairs to sit in and kayaks to use-if the rain lets up we could stay here a week.---Nels

Maine at Last!
Congratulations on arriving in Maine. I, too, think you look cute in that Niagra Falls picture. No rain here in Humboldt, just overcast skies and cool temperatures.
