Elizabeth wanted to go shopping at the Woodburn Outlet Mall south of Portland. We walked around the mall and bought a few things. We drove up to Vancouver, Washington and decided we would ride up to Mount St. Helens Lahar Viewpoint,

We stopped and made a few photos of Mt. St. Helens and then drove to Ape Cave. This is a lava tube from an eruption long ago. We didn't bring any flashlights so we couldn't go in. We then drove over to the lahar area and walked down the trail to the waterfall. In one of the pools the water looked blue. Elizabeth enjoyed looking at the rocks. Duh, she is a geologist.

We drove back to Portland after stopping at Red Lobster in Vancouver, Washington for dinner.
