Another small piece of Helsinki walking around in a slow morning and then I took a bus to Porvoo, to see the old town there.
A nice place, but really small too, that was the touristic map with the smallest scale I have ever seen. If you get distracted for a short while when following a street you lose your track, and what looks like a long distance might be only a few steps. It was also surprising how the map overrated things, and some of the supposedly important buildings can hardly be discerend from the common ones (I couldn't find at least two of them). It is still a quite nice place to spend an afternoon, although it might be quick.
Before leaving I came upon an used bookstore and bargained for an old copy of the kalevala, now I just have to learn to read it...
Back in Helsinki, I joined Jutta and some of her friends for partying - some bottles of wine at home and then an Irish pub which had some live music (which surprisingly was good - these bands are usually crappy). A very good night.
Time to go visit Tomi and Vera now.
