During my last day in Inari, almost everyone I met was asking me if I had seen the bears, and upon some questioning, told me there were supposed to be some aggressive brown bears (because they had cubs) in the outskirts of the town. A good time to leave, I don't really want to see an aggressive bear (actually I do, as long as it does not see me).
So, as I had missed my plane and was short on money, I decided to try my hand at hitchhiking. I had never done it before and didn't know the tricks, so I just went to the roadside and stuck my thumb out, while doing some statistics to have an idea if it was feasible to go all the way to Helsinki or if I should give up.
It was really easy to get out of Inari, even though it is such a small place (around 600 inhabitants), as on the 9th minute, the 9th car stopped to me and two nice women gave me a ride to Ivalo.

So glad I've finally found some time to read my dear friend's adventures! Renard in wonderland! It's all so amazing! I'm really loving to share this experience through your very interesting reports! And also in very good English writing!!
Sabia que eu também já viajei de carona? É, já peguei carona de caminhão junto com uma amiga... Mas dentro do meu país, falando o velho e bom português...
Você realmente está me surpreendendo com tanta coragem! Parabéns!!!!!
