Believe it or not As you are, to some extent, agnostic, I would like to remind you, that believe it or not, for sure your grandfather continues existing in some dimension,for instance, in your memories, in your DNA, in your writing style ... and, for sure, he wouldn't consider anything you write a nonsense.
Re: Believe it or not I'm not actually agnostic to some extent, but rather full-fledged atheist. As for continuity of existence, that depends a lot on how you define 'existence'. If it implies some form of conscience, then I deny it continues. But if you talk just about the impression a conscience leaves in the world, then sure, memories go on, writing styles too, although that is hardly comforting and those too will vanish in due time.
