Decided to go exploring a little bit this afternoon. Headed north on RT 19 and then made a left onto Akoni Pule Hwy towards Hawi. The scenery was very cool. It started off very rocky with lots of old lava fields turned into something that looked like a desert and then it became lush and green when we got closer to Hawi. We got to see a lot of "graffiti" along the way too. Since the lava rock is so black people create all kinds of messages using white stone.
