Our shuttle bus picked us up at 7 a.m. together with a number of other guests. Our flight was to depart Kittila at 10.05 a.m. We got to the airport in only 45 minutes. The airport was pretty boring. Nothing to do. Luckily our stopover in Helsinki was only two hours, and so we got back to Frankfurt by 3.30 p.m.
By the way, Frankfurt had this season experienced only two snow falls. One occurred on Christmas eve 2007 but remained only for a few hours and the second one on Easter Sunday 2008. On Easter Sunday the temperatures dipped to -4°C.
It was hard to say, whether we brought the snow and cold temperatures from Lapland, after we had had such a mild winter in Frankfurt for the whole first quarter of the year.
