From Cape Tribulation I caught the bus to Port Douglas via Mossman gorge. There is not a whole lot going on in Mossman gorge, but we did get a lecture from an Aboriginal lady about which fruits from the forest you can eat, which was quite interesting. The gorge itself was not really that nice. Port Douglas is a small resort town just north of Cairns. Unlike Cairns, Port Douglas does have a beach and is a lot more laid back then the Cairns Party-central. I spent 2 nights here, pretty much just relaxing at the pool, wandering around and playing the pub-quiz (and winning with our team!).

From Port Douglas I got back to Cairns, 2 more nights here to meet up with some friends, before flying back to Brisbane. Sightseeing the East Coast: Check!
