Jay gave me a nice wake up call at 6am. Another uncomfortable nights rest after the air mattress deflated again. By 7am the tent had heated up dramatically so it was time to get up and start packing up. I had all my stuff packed up and instead of waiting for Bella impatiently I went for a lovely long soak in the shower. When I got back I woke up Annabel and while she was getting ready I packed up all her things and packed the car. By 9.15am we were packed up and on the road.

Not far down the road we went through Bodalla and when I told Bella I saw a milkshake bar and cheese factory she had to do a U-Turn and head back for a milkshake and some breakfast. We parked the car behind the cheese factory and walked up the hill to photograph a great old looking church which looked a little spooky. Wouldn’t want to be here in a Thunder Storm I’m sure it would be scary and haunted.

In the Bodalla Milk bar was cheese taste testing so we sampled a small amount then ordered some cheese toasties and chocolate milkshakes after all we didn’t have time for breakfast packing up. The shop was done up like an old Milk Bar. Wasn’t long before our food arrived, the milkshakes were very chocolaty and creamy. The Cheese toasties had strings of cheese oozing out of it and it was all totally delicious. After breakfast we wondered around the back and spotted some calves so took a few photos and headed on our way again.

Arriving at Narooma we headed straight to the Information centre to book into a sunset tour of Montague Island but she warned us that it may be cancelled because of high swells the last couple of days had been cancelled apparently the landing jetty is very small. And unfortunately we got a call at 4pm and it was cancelled but rebooked for tomorrow night so fingers crossed, the swell calms down.

We arrived at our Big 4 caravan park at 10.30am and set up camp, another fantastic waterfront camp spot. It is in the calm river and a footpath is right along the waters edge.

After we set up camp we went for a quick drive to the break wall to take photos of “Australia Rock” a hole in a rock face which is shaped like Australia. And we were also told that seals can be seen here but not today. It was a lovely walk down to Australia Rock and back up via stairs and a boardwalk.

A nice refreshing swim in the pool was exactly what we needed when we got back to camp we were feeling tired setting up camp today. I sat on the waters edge for quite awhile in the shade but not realising that I was still getting burnt. I have a lovely sunburnt face tonight.

Late this afternoon after we heard the tour was cancelled we went for another quick drive back over the bridge and walked along the other side of the break wall. Then had a lovely walk along the boardwalk along the rivers edge. We were looking for sting rays and walked all the way to the other end not seeing any rather deflated after talking to lots of people walking along who all spotted them we slowly walked back again. Nearly back to the other end and Bella spotted a large one. Very pretty looking and a smaller one with a couple of Flounders swimming next to it and not letting the sting ray out of its reach. Looking closely and quite of lot of different sized Flounders could be seen they are so well camouflaged.

Feeling elated with our find we thought seen as it’s 6.30pm we will buy some tea. I saw a big M on the map so presumed it was McDonald's, turned out it was a Motel and being a Sunday night everything was closed. Bella wanted me to drive all the way back to Moruya to buy McDonald's when I wouldn’t we went to Woolworth's but she didn’t want anything for tea and went to bed at 7pm in a mood.

So now the sun is setting it’s getting cooler and I’m praying for perfect weather for tomorrow nights cruise to Montague Island.
