I honestly have to say that this trip did not rock as much as I expected it would---Time constraints, such a hassle. So the original plan was to leave Friday night and get there early morning and explore Dallas or go to Six Flags. That would have been awesome but then everthing had to go unplanned and everything was so last minute. I would have had enough time to book a hotel and check the things to do in that area but I got caught up with my Iphone drama. My phone was stolen at the Houston Museum of Natural Science and wasn't able to get over the incident right away thus leaving the planning part to my parents (who at this point have not gotten any sleep yet) so we ended up going to Dallas in 2 cars, renting a 12-seater van would was gonna come out more expensive. The drive took 4 hours including the 2 stop overs and we still had to look for a place to stay for the night that was close to the building where they were doing the passport renewal the next day. We ended up staying at Stay Bridge suites and it was not bad AT ALL. In fact, I loved it---We got 2 rooms (1 for the girls and 1 for the boys) that had 2 queen sized beds, a kitchenette, a living room area with a sofa and 2 other chairs, restroom was very clean and we only ended up paying $170 for both rooms and that's with free breakfast too for all of us ( There's 10 of us). After settling down we decided to go swimming in the pool area...it was freaking cold so the jacuzzi was the main attraction. hahaha.. My dad's been craving for Authentic Japanese food ever since we moved here to the US and we ended up choosing Mr. Sushi Japan. That was actually the highlight of my trip; this restaurant has been established since 1984 and this is as authentic as it can get. Man, I miss real Japanese food. My dad got to order his favorite Japanes dish, Sukiyaki, and my mom ordered a mix platter for marco with soup, sushi, beef and chicken teriyaki, tempura and fresh fruits. He went crazy. The kids went crazy too---recently they've been into anime, manga and japanese stuff so the authenticity of that restaurant was enough to make them go berzerk.hahaha...

The next day, we went to mass and proceeded to the place where they did the Passport Renewal. My family had to give up their old passports so they could get their new ones in a few months. My dad, my brother and I just had a passport extension; we're travelling to the Bahamas in a month and my dad is scheduled to go home to the Philippines. The passports wouldn't have made it on time. So there..Dallas for passport renewals. That was it. Sucks.
