04/04/07 we joined a 2 day tour with 5 other strangers to see outside of Prague. On the way to the Travellers Inn our meeting point Tash and i used the metro to get there - sort off Tash got on the train and just as i was about to enter the doors shut in my face and i could not open them off Tash went i think the driver wanted us to have some private time to ourselves - i got on the next train and Tash got off at the next stop and we were reunited again.

The trip was called www.Roadtrip.cz  Peter was our guide - we meet at the Travelers Inn at 11am and our adventure started - we had with us Sara and Julie from USA, Veronica from Canada, Jeremy from France and Julia from the UK - we made our way outside of Prague and stopped at a service station for Peter to give us a brief run down on what was ahead we all also decided that a joint BBQ would be perfect ( this would be arranged by Shane a fellow Aussie staying at the Hostel in Dalecin which is owned by Peter).
We made our way to the Bone Church in Kutna Hora- a bit weird but cool at the same time basically when this church was built (many moons ago) the priest was asked to travel to Jerusalem to bring back holy land he did this and the church became a sacred place with the whole community wanting to be buried on the grounds - the church and grounds are small and in the end 40,000 people were buried with in the grounds and the church - recently a bizarre artist decided to use the bones and decorate the church (coat of arms, chandelier).
After this we made our way to a local pub with local cheap food - we stopped at a supermarket to pick up supplies (beer and Schnapps - i am a big fan of Budvar).
The Hostel is brand new and amazing we all take a walk up an extremely steep hill to get an amazing view of the small country side town (in winter they are covered in snow and used as skiing areas) then we settled in with some card games and drinks to break the ice - Tash and i are more than happy to share so after the beer and the Peach Schnapps were finished we each pulled out our apple schnapps to continue with the partaking with shots - Dinner was great with steak, salads and bread.

The next day we make our way to the Moravsky Kras caves (30 miles from Brno) were we spend about 2 hours checking out the caves.

We arrive in Brno at 15.00pm where Tash, Julia and i get out the others are taking the bus back to Prague - Tash and i have to hang around till 9pm for our train to Ostravna where we then have to sit for another 2.5hrs for our train to Warsaw - this time round we booked couchettes - this is six beds in a small room basically like bunk beds but with two above Tash and i have the top of course, watching tash climb onto the top top bunk was hysterical and i could not stop laughing and there was nothing i could do to help her she was stuck between the two beds with her bum in the air i am becoming very familiar with her back tattoo she just had to hurl herself up,  our back packs take up the remainder space on the floor some one on the bottom bunked tied their luggage strap to the ladder so it could not be moved and they pretend not to wake when we arrived even though we were particularly noisy once we were settled it was all pretty comfortable (this was about 2am) the train was due to arrive in at 6.40am and i must have gotten about 2 hours sleep.

So i am off to catch a couple of hours sleep at the Nathans Villa Hostel - seems to be in a great location - but we are in a 12 room dorm with not much space for luggage and both Tash and I are on top bunks but it beats camping. I will add pictures as soon as i can.

Miss you all and Happy Easter.
