fresh air! sunshine! friendly people! bus through Stirling to Callander, a small town North of Glasgow in the countryside. we bought a loaf of french bread and turkey and ate sandwiches on the street while waiting for a ride to our hostel which was provided by the wife of a former NATO member (random, yet cool). our hostel is in the middle of nowhere, everyone is friendly, it is peaceful and there is no sign of Fat Bastard. we spent the afternoon hiking a few nearby peaks, and it of course rains off and on (good Scottish rain), but at least we're not in a city. we also trek it down to Loch Katrine (sp?). the whole area is the beginning of Scotland's first national park and is as close as we'll come to the Highlands, though from the looks of some of the taller peaks, covered in ice and snow, we were just fine where we were.

I think it's time for me to invest in a world atlas so while I'm 'following' you around the world, I'll actually know where you are!!! xoxoxxoxLisa
Bread and Meat...
Reminds me of the time we bought a loaf of bread and a full marinated chicken in Byron Bay and ate it on a picnic bench at the beach with Jason and Andrew. What a meal...
