We were motoring toward Stavanger when we awoke this morning - after the best night's sleep since we left home.  It was a little rough last night, but only a little.

After a lovely English breakfast we went ashore, did a little shopping and posted some mail.  Tom went to the Petroleum Museum and I meandered over town buying souvenirs and strawberries!! (which are beautiful!!).

We met up again in our restaurant for lunch.  After lunch we met in the theatre with the other people going on our tour.  There were 19 of us and we were bussed 1/2 hour out of town to a lady's house.  She answered everyone's questions about life in Norway - she has a husband and 2 teenage children.  Children get their boat licence in school.  They have a house, a boat and a holiday cottage, as they all do, apparently.  When the children are confirmed in their Lutheran Church they are given their national costume, which is worn on special occasions throughout the year.  After our waffles and coffee the bus collected us and took us back to the wharf - we had 40 minutes to go back to the shops and buy some more gifts but we were back on board 10 minutes before "All Aboard" time.

Tom started chatting to the head security guy - he comes from Bidwill, or "Mt Druitt Heights" as he called it.

Back to our stateroom for a nap before dressing for formal dinner.  The seas were really rough and some of the people from the table next to us had to leave.  Dinner was more crab and salmon followed by Grand Marnier mousse.
