Quarantine. With Mark again today.  Dee was over at the volunteers house first thing in the morning as two new birds had been brought over.  One small parrot and a blue Macaw.  Dee needed some help getting the Macaw out of the box so Crazy bird lady was called upon.  I wish I hadn't as when I bent down to get the bird, my back went into spasm and I could hardly move.  I still managed to get the bird into the cage.  I went over to the restaurant and sat down and the pain was pretty bad.  It was really painful in my lower back and I was getting shooting pains down my back.  I managed to help Mark with the food prep but stayed over here so didn’t have to do much walking.  Just before midday I went back to the volunteers house so I could get some tablets.   It took me over 20 minutes to walk back and the journey normally takes 5 minutes.  When I got to my room, my legs were so painful.  I grabbed my tablets and went to sit down outside when my foot went completely numb and I couldn’t stand up.  It frightened me as this has never happened before.  This is definitely a trapped nerve and it has given me pins and needles in my foot.  Sergio tried some Yoga and massage on me earlier but it didn’t seem to make any difference.

That afternoon I stayed over on the main site and Becky helped me move my bags over here as I am now sleeping in the same room as Dee so I don’t have to keep walking backwards and forwards to the volunteers house.

I took 2 tramadol and led down for a while.   The rest of the evening I spent high as a kite as the tablets are really strong.  It took the pain away but I still cannot walk on my right leg as it is quite numb.  I found myself a makeshift walking stick so I could still hobble around.

A really shitty and useless day I couldn’t do any work.  I really hope this passes quickly as I am limited to what I can do.
