Where I stayed
Between me and Dan, we got a lot done in the morning as I wanted to watch the England game in the afternoon, so the quicker we got stuff done in the morning, the less we would have to do after the football.
Before lunch, I helped Dan and John feed the Spectacle Bears that they have here. They are the only bear that you will find in South America. They are so cute and look so cuddly, but you know if you get close they could do some damage to you.
Why I bothered this afternoon to take time out to watch the football as it was utter rubbish. We deserved to lose as we played rubbish. I should have stayed out and interacted with the birds
I have gained 4 more parrots from Quarantine to look after so this should be fun. More birds to try and tame.
I really am enjoying my time on birds. The only thing I can say that really annoys me is feeding time. It has nothing to do with the birds, but the bloody Squirrel Monkeys that come along and jump all over you and steal all the bananas. It’s like a big game to them. If you try and get them back they try and bite you. They don’t hurt but it’s just so annoying! I even had one pee on me the other day. I was bent over in a cage trying to clean it and I felt something wet on my head. When I looked up to see where the water was falling from, I noticed it was a Squirrel Monkey peeing on me. It even had a like sneer on its face as if it thought it was funny.
Talking of toilet humour, the parrots out in the big cage, one of them pooed on my head the other day and broke into laughter as soon as it had done it. Obviously its previous owners either taught it to laugh, or they just laughed a lot and he learnt the sound. They are such characters and make me laugh every day. I have now been named the crazy Bird Lady. I love it!
