Where I stayed
What I did
The scenery was exactly the same again today, not that I am complaining, but just nothing extra to describe. We were back into the Fjordlands again. We thought that we might see more snow and ice and Glaciers, but it was still very green.
We did have an opportunity to get off the boat today and visit a tiny village called Puerto Eden in the middle of no where. We did have to pay for this which cost $5000, but it was nice to get off the boat for a short time. Basically there is a boardwalk which goes all the way around the village and funnily enough, past the little shops selling their wares to the tourists, not that I bought anything
Didn't really do much on the boat again today apart from going outside to see the views and taking photo's, chatting and watching a few movies on my laptop.
Tonight was bingo night. Woop woop!!! Where's me dabber?? We paid $1000 for one board. The prizes consisted of Navimag beer tankards, shot glasses, wine, whiskey and Navimag fleeces. As you can imagine I really wanted to win! There was one catch. Any time you shouted Bingo, you had to have your board checked and whether you were correct or not, you had to do a dance in front of everyone. So glad that I never came close. It was quite a funny evening and also the first evening that everyone stayed up late and sat in the bar together.
Rodrigo, one of the guys that worked on the boat, showed me and Simona how to Salsa and Merengue. I then partnered Rodrigo, but I didn't have a clue. I felt quite embarrassed as everyone was watching and I couldn't quite get it right. I'm ok dancing on my own but when I have a partner, I fall to pieces. Thoroughly enjoyed it though.
I think I managed to climb into bed around 11 pm. Late night for the boat!!!
