So today was the day I was picking up a campervan and relocating it back to Melbourne.  I had 3 days to get it back to Melbourne and was given $150 fuel allowance and could do a maximum of 1275 kilometres.  Anything over that I would be charged for.  Also, it only cost me $5 a day, so it was going to be the cheapest way to get back to Melbourne by far.

I nearly fell of my chair when they showed me what I was driving.  I expected it to be a little camper like a VW, back home.  No, this was the size of a medium sized removal van and was one of Britz (The companies name) luxury models.  Ha ha!  Good job the roads over here are really wide!

It had a shower, toilet, microwave, cooker, sink, all the mod cons and came with sleeping bags, pillows etc.  How flippin lucky am I.  The oly thing that was missing was a tv, but hey, you can't have it all.

I set off from Adelaide around 11.45 am after I went back to the hostel to pick up my bags. Lani at reception had given me a route back which would take me through some lovely coastline in South East South Australia.  My first port of call was a little seaside town called Robe.  I had decided this was where I was going to stay for the night.  It took a few hours to get here and I must have clocked up about 350 to get here.

What a gem.  This place was beautiful.  The caravan park where I stayed for the night was called Sea Vu and it was perfect.  The site was based on a slight hill which overlooked the beach and the ocean.

After I parked up and sorted out my site, I decided to go for a walk in the town.  This place was really thriving with Aussie's on sumemr holidays.  I got talking to a couple of guys from Melbourne who told me they come back here every year beacuase it is so beautiful, the weather is amazing and the sea is completely crystal clear.  I had a little paddle, but it was pretty cold!

This town dates back to 1846 and is filled with quaint limestone cottages and a very english pub

I took a walk upto the marina as there was a boat show on, however, I had just missed it as everything was being packed up when I arrived.

I decided to buy a couple of tinnies and join the locals in the caravan park.  Had a lovely evening chilling out and drinking Bundeburg Rum and coke.  Hmmm, might have found my new poison!

Got around to making up my bed and climbing into the sack around 11 pm.  Hmmm, nice and cosy in my camper with the aircon blowing gently.  I couldn't be happier!

Still much smaller than ours! We could sleep 4 without using the bit above the driver (a double berth in its own right) and had a TV with DVD, as no TV signal most of the time. I do like the cost factor on yours tho...
