Where I stayed
Chelsea's House

I have had a great past 3 days spending time with Chelsea and her family who kindly let me stay at there house in Avalon and looked after me.

Avalon is just north of Sydney and would take approx 50 mins to drive to the city.  The houses and the areas around here are absolutely stunning and cost a fortune.  This is another place that I could easily live I had a spare few million!

Just up the road from here is Palm Beach or as you all may know it as Summerbay - Home and Away.  I've been to the surf club and led on the beach where they film the programme.  Unfortunately they weren't filming when we were there on Friday and Saturday.  Shame, as I'm sure they would have liked to have had a beached whale led on the beach.  What a sight eh!

I felt sorry for Chelsea on Saturday as she kindly took me up to the lighthouse at the end of Palm Beach and it is quite a climb up the steps to the lighthouse.  The poor thing only went up there last week and a couple of weeks before.  I am sure she must be sick of the sight of it, not to mention climbing up those steps.

I think I must have been to all of the beaches in the area.  Friday we went to Whale Beach, Saturday we went to Palm Beach and Bilgola Beach and then Sunday we drove down to Manly and led on the beach for a couple of hours before coming back and showing me Avalon Beach.  All of them are beautiful and each have their own individuality.

I must say thanks to Chelsea for making me some fabulous meals and to Trevor, her step dad, for feeding me white bait for the first time and it was absolutely awesome.  It was New Zealand white bait which is completely different to what we get back home.  Firstly they don't serve it battered.  These fish are tiny little things, most likely what you would see swimming up a stream.  How Trevor cooked it was to make a frittata - mini omelette.  Just cooked them with eggs, cream, whitebait, seasoning and then serve them with white bread and butter, sea salt and lemon on top of the frittata.  Jenny, Chelsea's mum made a lovely salad to go with it.

I also have to say thank you to Bonnie, one of Chelsea's sisters for letting me stay in her bed and either staying out or sharing with Chelsea in Harley's bed.  Everyone has been really good to me.  Oh, not to mention little Millie the dog.  She is so beautiful.  Oh and the chickens!!

Oh if you have a moment, look up Bonnie Johnston on youtube.  She has the most amazing voice.  The picture should be of her sat in a room with her guitar and the background is of a white painted room.  She is amazing and really should do something with her voice.  What a talented girl!

Thanks guys, I had a brilliant time and loved spending time with you!
