From Phnom Penh, Remo and I went on the worst bus trip in my life, a road consisting of potholes and dust, merciless heat beating on the roof of the bus, dust covering our wet bodies - and a bad hangover from a night out in PP.
While enduring this, Remo asked if it would be green over in Vietnam.
- Stupid question, I said. Why should it be different from this desert just because of that line between two countries? It's the same soil, the same climate, the same merciless sun.
I proved to be wrong.
We crossed the border in the middle of the day, soaked with sweat, covered with dust, marching across the border line.
And suddenly, everything was green!
Soft green rice fields next to the road, our Vietnamese guide greeted us with "Hellooooo, welcome to Vietnam, my friends!", we had an ice cream and got on a nice modern bus with air conditioning.
Cvilization.

That's how the one-month adventure of Vietnam started.
I loved it, so many beautiful places, such a wonderful funny people, great food and all those amazing, interesting, crazy, unique friends I met in these Happy Days.

We started in Saigon from where we went on some trips to the area, including the wonderful Mekong Delta.
Then, I headed North, to Dalat, where I met up with Carla (and, by accidence, Fabi!) for one day together.
