Good times and good views...  It was pretty funny, taking the Twin Lotus van to the Rawi Warin Resort & Spa.  What was even funnier was that we had to stop at my place at Han's Lodge, down a bumpy dirt path to get my bags before heading to the Rawi.  The Rawi is a much nicer resort with some really nice amenities like a water slide, movie theater, king's chair music room... It was cheaper than the Twin Lotus, but at 8,800B, it was still a bit out of my price range.  We got really lucky and found a great 1000B bungalow (still out of my price range for all of you that remember my Vietnam mantra, "I only want to pay $4") right on the water about 50M down the beach and were checked in with a beer in hand before everybody else even got to their rooms.  I immediately had my hammock strung up on my balcony and promptly decided that we were not going to make it to Koh Jum after all.  After cracking my 2nd beer around 1pm, I could tell this was going to be a pretty chilled out day.  To celebrate, we invited everyone over to my porch for drinks and to watch the beautiful sunset at 6:15pm.  The fuzziness of this picture around 8pm sorta reflects the rest of this night at Mojo's Bar.  Lisa was on autopilot most of the night.  I could tell she was still conscious because she kept moving and talking, but she has no memory of anything after sunset.    I was only in slightly better shape towards the end of the night.  I do sorta remember Lisa chatting up a Thai waitress.  At the time, I wasn't sure if she was chatting her up for us or Brian, but in the end it seemed like she was trying to set Brian up with some local luvin. There may be some rumors about dancing on the rooftop deck, but I've discounted any such possibility.  We spent the rest of the night enjoying the beautiful view from our porch and my favorite hammock activity.

Unfortunately, the next day was Antonia, Colleen and Steve's last night.  I spent most of the day in and out of my hammock reading an old 1992 Lonely Planet - Thailand reminiscing about the good ol' days and rehydrating.  As our favorite time of day was approaching, we gathered on BnA's balcony high above the water with panoramic views of the sea.    Steven had gone into "town" to get some nice wines to toast the ending of another day and another excellent holiday.  It was great to see everyone again after only such a relatively short time.  It had only been 6 months since Bob's wedding in Bali.  After 11 months on the road, it's always great to see good friends, especially over the holidays.  Antonia, Brian, Colleen, Steve: thanks so much for coming out and celebrating the holidays with me on the other side of the planet.  I had a great time! and I believe a wonderful time was had by all... Next stop...wonderland?
