We left Walsenburg after having breakfast at the hotel. We headed up the mountains, which scared me to death.....but still alive! We made it through the very windy mountains, round lots of corners and up and down the hills.....not my favorite ride, but Randy loved it. The puppies were sleeping so I joined them.
Made it to Florence and what a beautiful little town. We went in and out of multiple antique shops and yes, Steve, Randy bought some British coins, one German, one Sweden and I think that's all. We don't know what we are looking for, but there sure were a lot of memories attached to those stores. Brought tears to my eyes remembering several of the things that my Mom and Grandmother used to have. All the things were really expensive, but really fun to remember the good old days.
We then stopped and had lunch on the way home. Diet, I don't think so---I think we are getting bigger by the day. Sitting and riding is hard on these old bodies, but we are having a wonderful time
remembering the good old days.
This has been a fantastic trip so far. Leaving tomorrow for New Mexico for a one week stay at the timeshare we traded for. That will be where the fun starts. We will hopefully see all the aliens, foreigners and others......
