What I did
La Veta Antique Shops and Downtown deer

Flag of United States  , Colorado
Wednesday, December 28, 2011

Today we just drove around to see the local places in this part of Colorado. It was beautiful! God is awesome when he made all these mountains and animals. It was very cold but such a pleasure to look at.

We went downtown LaVeta to visit the antique shops and turned a corner and there were deer everywhere. We had just said we wish we saw some wildlife on the roads where we were driving, not even considering that they would be all around the downtown area. The one gentlemen said that the elk went south when the snow came last week.

We met several really nice people. Many that relocated from LA after the hurricane hit several years back, and many interesting people. The shops were great and we had a lot of fun just walking around.
The one shop that Randy liked the best was the one with a the owner who happened to have a sale man in the store. We took her picture with Randy and the man asked me to email to him because he wanted to use it in his national website add. We will have to look to see if Randy is in the ad.

Back to Walsenburg to the Best Western to watch football and relax before the next leg of our trip.

See you all later,
Love always,
Randy, Betty, Hans and Ditto!
