Actually I think it is driving my crazy!  Laugh out loud!!!!!

Well today we were up at 5:30am, I did laundry, started packing while Randy walked the puppies. We went and had our wonderful free breakfast: eggs, sausage, bagel, oatmeal, yogurt and coffee. That's for the both of us, not just one....!!!

We packed up the truck and it was still too early for the Alamo to open so we decided to leave and use that for an excuse to come back and see the inside of the Alamo. It was a wonderful experience and John and Jo it was as beautiful as you described. We walked around last night for quite awhile and saw more lights and more of the river that we hadn't looked at yet. This place is awesome and very romantic along the river. We loved it and we will make another trip there sometime again.

We headed out on the road and was looking for Durango Blvd. Well we went right by it....go figure they changed the name to Ceasar Chavez Blvd..Thank goodness for the Garmin, she took us back to the correct spot to pick up I-10 West. The puppies wouldn't tell us, they wanted to stay at the hotel.

We headed toward Lubbock, Texas and realized that the speed limit was 80mph. WOW! We had no idea why everyone was passing us. Then we turned on the small side road and it was back to 70mph. The most unusual thing happened. While we were driving Randy noticed that all the cars were pulling on the paved shoulder without slowing down to allow other cars to pass them. On both sides of the road. So when we had someone on our rear we pulled over on the shoulder and guess what? They passed. It was the craziest thing but a neat idea. We didn't know if it was legal or not but everyone was doing it so we did too! Their paved shoulders are about 10' wide.

We took a picture of a hugh----cross on the way and again, it was St Mary's Catholic Church. Really beautiful. I would have loved to see it lite up at night.

So today we just saw countryside.....cotton fields, Wind Generators, Pump Jacks, Rodeos, dry creek beds and dry river beds, and miles of dirt. It is truly awesome how everything is so alike, but so different at the same time. God is awesome how he made this earth. After getting away from San Antonio we saw few residents in the country. The wind is howling out here and very cold.

Hope you all had a wonderful and blessed Christmas,
Love to you all!
