Flee Markets in Louisiana

We woke up at the Drury Inn, where you can see we had a free breakfast and coffee, walked the dogs, checked out and started on our trip to Houston, Texas. Before we left Baton Rouge we went downtown to see the USS Kidd Memorial---no Steve we didn't go to the Casino.....!

After we checked it out we started west on I-10 and had to stop at a couple of flee markets and antique shops just to look and see what the westerners had up for sale. I found a couple of neat ideas for Christmas gifts for next year, a 1997, .999 fine silver coin for $30.00, a 1952 P,D, & S Franklin Half Dollars to celebrate my date of birth, a Mercury 1943, W mint dime for Randy's dob. Also found Randy his globe that he wanted so we got that also.

We then left Opelousas, LA and headed to Beaumont, TX. We spent an hour or so trying to find another flee market to find out that it was no longer there or just not open. There was a fence around the property and we couldn't see what was behind it. Oh well, Randy got a Sonic fish sandwich for lunch anyway.

So then with tummies full we headed to Houston. We have arrived to bed down for the night. Denny's is sharing our bedding down parking lot so that looks like a great wake up call. Bye for now, and see you all tomorrow!
Love,
Randy and Betty, Hans and Ditto
